These are all over Helsinki metro nowadays. They will haunt my dreams and doom our future. Some reality series apparently.

Finnish music education

In Finland, when you reach 2nd grade, you are taken into a room with a teacher and made to sing for the teacher. Then the teacher grades you whether you are good or not at singing. At 8.

The majority of my friends tell me they cannot sing. Because of some random underpaid yahoo told them they were useless at eight. You gotta be a pretty cold bastard to look a small child in the eye and tell them they have no business singing.

I fear that Finnish music educators hate music and want to eradicate it from Finland. Starting with the singers.

Existencial musing

Billions of years of supernovae, bonding atoms of which organic molecules form. Millions of years of evolution, shaping the brain into kilometers of neurons.

After glancing through my facebook page, I realised if I was giving Zuckerberg so much info, I might as well make it public for everyone else too.
So here we are, a blog reboot. My old blog sank in a torrent of spam and is now a charred husk of cryptic viagra-ads, where tumbleweeds roll over ancient thoughts.
