What I said

In musings, personal, politics on 30/07/2011 at 11:36

On Faces opening performance, I said this. Please read, share it if you like it:

Before we leave, I would like to say something about what happened last week, .

The murderer was no lone nut. He was the product of ideas. His deed was possible because there were people giving him a framework on which he could build his hate. Those people are still around.

IF you want to do something about this, I got ONE suggestion:

Next time you hear someone talk about niggers, homot, mustapekkas, faggots, kikes, broads, lezzers, gingers, pakis, somalis, TELL THEM, even respectfully, that you don´t like hearing that HATEFUL TRASH.

MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND that they are NOT a part of a SILENT MAJORITY, they are a part of a LOUD MINORITY.

He was able to kill these beautiful children, an OASIS of potential, each and every one of them, because he did not see them as humans. That´s what these ideas do to you. You DEHUMANIZE your fellow man.

We aren´t tyrannized by political correctness. We are tyrannized by LACK OF EMPATHY. We are tyrannized by dehumanization.

To all of you, ALL OF YOU, have a GREAT festival. Take care of each others, love each others, live, enjoy. For every one who were not allowed to. One week ago.

Repurposing national icons for rebranding patriotism v4

It´s clear that our patriotism, our love of our country has been infected and is in danger of becoming incurably sick. Here´s one more attempt at an antidote.

The Peter´s cross is for the record NOT a symbol for anti-christianity.

“Some Catholics use this cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Christ.”

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_of_St._Peter

Another example of a symbol which has been rebranded and perceived differently from it´s original intent.

CULTURAL MARXIST

In design, fun, musings, personal, politics on 25/07/2011 at 18:37

The child killer defined people like me as traitors (he specifically mentions comic artists in his manifesto / inept scifi tome) and more specifically as CULTURAL MARXIST.

I would like to take the epithet he gave me and my colleagues as a badge of honor and have now uploaded a print-ready PDF here.

Print it out, stick it on a t-shirt, make a badge, stick it on the side of a bus, etc. It´s a vector file, so you can scale it as big as you want to.

Sadly I don´t have the means to print them myself, as I´m flat broke, but hey, make an evening of it! Invite your friends over, have a little Cultural Marxist workshop while sharing some brews and laughs. Heaven knows we need laughs.

Make your own design, compete with your friends who comes up with the coolest CULTURAL MARXIST art!

Smear it in the face of the child killer´s lockstep cohorts every time you wear it! Every time you show it to strangers, you show that we are not afraid of them, they will NOT succeed.

As to what CULTURAL MARXIST actually means, I guess it´s meant that you don´t have to be an actual Marxist to be a cultural one. More people can join the fun! Welcome to the party!
